LAKE LANAO
Lake Lanao is the largest lake in Mindanao and second largest in the Philippines . It has a surface elevation of 700 meter, Area of 340 km^2, Length is 33 km, Width 20 km, and the mean depth of it is 60 m. It was said that the lake was formed by a tectonic-volcanic damming of two mountain and a very large volcano collapse. The water is full with the lake around Lake Lanao consisting of Taraka, Gata, Masiu, and Bacayawan. Now the lake serves as a hydroelectric power plants by the National Power Corporation to supply electricity in Mindanao.

ReplyDeleteLake lanao is like the Maria Cristina Falls. It is a source also of Hydroelectric Energy. This is an additional knowledge to me.
